Consignment Standards and Agreement
Green Light Auto Center will sell your vehicle for you! Please read all below for specific information:
A. Year, Make and Model: Vehicle must be 10 years old or newer. Vehicle must be major make (ie Chevy, Ford, Subaru Etc.) Vehicle must have less than 150,000 miles.
B. Condition: Vehicle must have no visible rust and many not have any significant undercarraige rust. Vehicle must be free of major dents and scratches.Vehicle must be delivered clean, inside and out when delivered for consignment. Vehicle must not be missing any major components (ie radio, CD changer, spare tire, keyless entry remote). Vehicle must be delivered with no less than 1/4 tank of fuel (Green Light will be responsible for fuel once vehicle is delivered).
C. Mechanical Condition: All consignments will be sold with Green Light Auto State Safety and Emissions Inspection sticker. Inspections from other businesses will not be accepted. Vehicle owner is responsible for inspection fee and any necessary repairs. At this time the vehicle owner may choose to void consignment contract. All vehicles marketed by Green Light will not be subject to full mechanical inspection. However, our staff will fully disclose any known problems prior to sale. Vehicle must be free of major engine leaks. Vehicle owner will be notified of repairs needed for consignment. The vehicle owner will be responsible for costs associated with these repairs. Repairs may be completed at other businesses, but will be subject to Green Light inspection of repairs at the owner's expense. Please note: Repairs may be needed while vehicle is for sale. Any repairs occurring after inspection will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner and must be completed if vehicle is to remain on sales lot.
D. Exposure: All vehicles will be represented on this website. All vehicle sales will be represented by Green Light Auto sales staff. All consignment vehicles will appear on sales lot, separated from Green Light Auto sales vehicles. Green Light Auto vehicles will have priority for exposure, but consignment vehicle position will be rotated for optimal exposure on at least a monthly basis.
E. Costs and Expenses: Commission rates will be charged as follows:
Vehicles sold $10,000 and higher: $700
Vehicles sold $8,000- $10,000: $500
Vehicles sold $5,000-$7,999: $400
Vehicles sold less than $4,999: $300
**BELOW CHARGES WILL ACCRUE REGARDLESS OF VEHICLE SALE**
Lot charges will apply per week for all vehicles, regardless of sale at $15/week. Carfax report option. Vehicle owner may choose to have a Carfax report available to buyers. Carfax also provides a classified ad on the Carfax website. This option will be charged $15/ 3 months.
F. Terms and Conditions: All vehicles are subject to approval and some conditions may be waived under special circumstances. Consignment contract may be terminated by Green Light Auto at any time for any reason. Vehicles will be driven only by Green Light Auto staff (other than test drives) and will be driven only on rotating schedule on Green Light registered dealer plate. Green Light Auto will be responsible for cleanliness of interior once the vehicle is delivered and cleanliness is approved. Exterior cleanliness will not be guaranteed. Vehicle owner will not remove vehicle from Green Light Auto sales lot without prior approval. If vehicle is removed and returned, it may be subject to extra fees. All fees and expenses will be paid to Green Light Auto upon sale of the vehicle (excluding repairs which are due at the time of repair). If owner removes the vehicle prior to sale, accrued expenses will be paid prior to vehicle leaving premises. Repairs made on vehicles for safety inspection or otherwise must be paid prior to vehicle going onto sales lot.
***ALL CONSIGMENT VEHICLE MUST HAVE TITLE, FREE OF LIENS
A signed agreement will be presented to vehicle owner when vehicle is delivered for consignment.
